Terms of Use — Pusula

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Pusula mobile application (the "App" or "Service"), provided by Centaur Studios ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

Pusula is a mobile app that, based on the feeling or situation you describe, provides you with a Qur'anic verse and an AI-generated, personalized commentary. It also offers features such as dua (prayer) generation, an AI-powered chat companion called "Manevi Rehber" (Spiritual Guide), stories of the prophets and companions, and a 14-day spiritual journey.

2. Important Notice — AI-Generated Content and Religious Disclaimer

Pusula is not a religious authority, mufti's office, or fatwa-issuing body.

• The verse commentary, duas, and Manevi Rehber replies in the App are generated by artificial intelligence. They are intended for spiritual support and inspiration; they are not a religious ruling, fatwa, or the opinion of a qualified religious authority.
• The Arabic text and Turkish translation of Qur'anic verses are taken from verified sources; however, the AI-generated commentary and chat content may contain errors or omissions.
• For important religious decisions, we recommend consulting a qualified religious scholar.
• Pusula does not provide medical, psychological, or legal advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional (physician, psychologist, therapist, lawyer). If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately (in Türkiye: dial 112 for emergencies or ALO 183 for social support).

3. Use of the Service

• The Service is provided without requiring account creation, using an anonymous device identifier.
• To prevent abuse and uncontrolled cost, certain features are subject to daily fair-use limits, which may change without prior notice.
• You may not use the Service to: produce or distribute unlawful content; reverse-engineer, copy, or overload the Service through automated tools (bots, scrapers); or harass or harm other users.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18, we recommend using the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

4. Pusula Pro Subscription

Pusula offers an optional, auto-renewing subscription, Pusula Pro, which removes daily usage limits on verse search, Manevi Rehber chat, and dua generation, unlocks "Deep Guidance" content, and removes advertising.

• Plans: Monthly and Yearly, at the price shown in the App and on the App Store / Google Play listing at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change; existing subscribers will be notified of price changes as required by the app store.
• Free trial: The Yearly plan may include a free trial period (currently 7 days). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the full subscription price and the subscription will begin.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Payment: Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never receive or store your payment card details.
• Managing or cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play > Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
• Free tier and ads: Without a Pusula Pro subscription, the App remains fully usable within the daily fair-use limits described in Section 3, and includes optional rewarded video advertising (see our Privacy Policy) that lets you earn extra daily uses.

5. Intellectual Property

• The Arabic text of the Qur'an follows the standard Uthmani script. The Turkish verse translation is the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs) meal; the English verse translation is the Sahih International translation. Verse audio recitation is performed by Mishari Alafasy, delivered via the Quran.com (QDC) API.
• The App's design, software, curated verse/story content, and brand elements (the Pusula name and logo) belong to Centaur Studios and may not be copied or used commercially without permission.
• You retain ownership of the text you submit to the App; you grant us permission to process that text in order to provide the Service to you (e.g., by sending it to our AI provider).

6. Third-Party Services

Pusula relies on third-party providers — including Google (Gemini API, AdMob), Supabase, PostHog, Meta, and RevenueCat (for subscription management) — to operate the Service. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Each provider's own terms and privacy practices apply to their part of the processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Centaur Studios shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Modification and Termination of the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any of its features (including free usage limits) at any time, without prior notice. We may restrict access for devices found to be abusing the Service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page; we will notify you within the app of any material changes.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye.
