GrindLog — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GrindLog ("the App"), developed by Centaur Studios, collects, uses, and protects your information. GrindLog is a fitness and workout tracking application available on iOS.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Workout & Fitness Data

GrindLog collects the following data to provide its core functionality:

Exercise logs, repetitions, sets, and weights
Workout history and personal records
Achievement and badge progress
User preferences and app settings

This data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Analytics & Crash Data

Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to improve the app
Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports to identify and fix bugs

1.3 Advertising Data

Google AdMob: Advertising identifiers (IDFA) for serving ads in the free tier
PRO subscribers do not see ads, and ad-related data collection is minimized

1.4 Subscription Data

RevenueCat: Manages subscription status (GrindLog PRO)
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we do not collect credit card or billing information

2. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14.5 and later, GrindLog requests your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change this setting at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

3. How We Use Your Data

Provide workout tracking and progress analytics
Process and manage PRO subscriptions
Display advertisements to free-tier users via AdMob
Improve app performance and fix crashes
Gamification features (badges, levels, streaks)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with:

Google (AdMob, Firebase) — for analytics and advertising
RevenueCat — for subscription management
Apple — for payment processing and App Store operations

5. Data Retention

Your workout data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored data. Analytics data is retained according to Google's and Apple's data retention policies.

6. Your Rights

You can:

Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
Opt out of personalized ads via iOS Settings
Deny tracking permission via ATT
Cancel your subscription via App Store Settings
